Hike Haliburton Festival 2011

Festival Hike Haliburton

Autumn is one of our most favourite seasons where the nights are cool and the bugs are a few, the fall season additionally delivers many of the liveliest hues, a likelihood to perform in the sun before the winter season and the snow comes. We just went through some cool nights, nearly a freeze, so I expect the leaves will be dancing and performing their colour change sooner this year.

Halls Lake When The Leaves Sing

If you are lucky, and we are to live in one of those parts of Ontario where Mother Nature has one last fling just before settling down into winter’s sleep. In these lucky places the days shorten and temperatures become crisp, the peaceful green palette of summer foliage is changed into the vivid autumn palette of reds, oranges, golds, and browns before the leaves fall off the trees.

Most years, the colors are truly breathtaking and that’s where hiking comes in to play, hit a trail in the bush and see these colour changes and spend some time with the family.

Well I’m not happy to say this but summer is over and here comes fall so get out some warmer cloths and the hiking boots.

Just Another Vacation Things To Do in the Haliburton Highlands

About The Author

Country life was always a factor when we looked for a place to live, so back in 2002 Heather and I quit our city jobs and purchased a small Country Resort on Halls Lake in the Haliburton Highlands of Ontario Canada. We live on the resort grounds and enjoying helping people with their all season vacation and Family Reunion planning. Our Blog supports resort guests and visitors to the area by letting them know all the things happening in the Haliburton Highlands in order to get the most out of their vacation or weekend getaway. We'll be happy to help you find what your looking for in the Haliburton Highlands. May it be things to do, places to eat, family activities, sites to see, cottages for rent or sale, almost anything to do with the Haliburton Highlands.
