Spring to Summer Open Hours: May 24th to July 1st
Saturdays and Sundays Only 10am to 4pm

Summer to Fall Open Hours: July 1st to Thanksgiving Weekend
Wednesday to Sunday 10am to 4pm

Dorset Ontario Heritage Day 2014

Great shows for the whole family inside of the museum and out!

Featuring a few of steam powered engines that whistle and pop!

Woodland Heirlooms, antique cars.


  • Re purpose Your Life crafters is going to be there displaying textiles, glass ware, preserves, maple syrup
  • Featuring attractive re purposed glassware into birdbaths, along with other cool things for your backyard or home
  • Re claimed wood from outdoor treks turned into usable objects like coasters, bread boards etc.
  • Garlic, veggies turned into yummy preserves
  • Re purposed sweaters felted and turned into gorgeous hats, slippers, along with other unique items
  • A spinner who processes her own wool, spinning, dyeing her fiber.

The days events will be on the Dorset Heritage Museum lawn, rain or shine.

Inside of the museum and get pleasure from the two new exhibits, Outdoor Fun & the Neilson Family.

All of the exhibits have obtained new artifacts and or photographs added.
